Innere Stimme’ is the title of a notation used by Olaf Nicolai as instruction for a sound performance. In the empty space of the Vleeshal in Middelburg, formerly the site of the city’s meat market until the end of the 19th century, the melody of the ‘Innere Stimme’ is performed throughout the entire duration of the exhibition by several singers simultaneously at each time.
