Philip Johnson, born 1906, converses with one of his colleagues and curator about art, artists, architects, the time in the 30s when he was director of architecture at the MOMA, his legendary exhibit « International Style » (1932), about Schwitters, Mondrian, Finsterlin, Warhol, Duchamp and his admiration for Mies van der Rohe. From this interview material, the artist Thomas Bayrle has woven an extraordinary book, taking as basis the layout of the New York Times and fleshing it out with text.
