FR/ Ce projet a pour origine l’intérêt renouvelé de l’artiste pour la pièce Rhinocéros (1959) d’Eugène Ionesco. La publication contient des images des œuvres présentées dans l’exposition, conçues au cours des quatre dernières années, ainsi que des archives et du matériel de recherche qui ont déclenché leur conception, à l’instar de la pièce de théâtre, le livre fondateur « Psychologie des foules » (Paris, 1895) de Gustave Le Bon, et des citations de journaux et de magazines actuels. Il comprend un texte de Rebecca Geldard traitant des principaux enjeux de l’exposition.

EN/ The reference of this project is to be found in the artist’s renewed interest in the play Rhinocéros (1959) by Eugène Ionesco. This interest was activated by the current polarized social and political climate. The publication will contain images of the featured works in the exhibition, conceived in the last four years, as well as archive and research material that triggered the conception of them, such as the play itself, the seminal book “Psychologie des foules (The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind)” (Paris, 1895) by Gustave Le Bon and quotes from current newspapers and magazines. It includes a text by Rebecca Geldard dealing on the main issues of the show.
