Photographer Erik van der Weijde turns his lens on the iconic teddy bear in this series, whereby each image is printed with the halftone reprographic technique in order to simulate continuous tone imagery, in this case, using the colour green. The procession of green teddy bears produced through the dual filters of camera and printing processes essentially conveys an optical illusion of these childhood objects, stripping whatever emotional connections might be triggered in the observer through multiple layers of mechanical reproduction.
